OUR LATEST VIDEO
United Way of Greater Union County, along with the world, has been closely monitoring the development of COVID19 and the impact it has had on the world, our nation, and our communities. To help address the financial impact of COVID19 on Union County, South Plainfield and North Plainfield communities, we have established the UWGUC COVID19 Emergency Fund. Read our Fact Sheet
The UWGUC COVID19 Emergency Fund will assist individuals disproportionately affected by coronavirus primarily in underserved and economically disadvantaged communities who:
-
are in a financial crisis due to loss of employment or reduced work hours
-
did not have benefits or resources to weather the crisis
-
incurred other debt related to COVID19 (i.e. childcare expenses because schools are closed)
-
are low-income, hourly wage earners, individuals without employer benefits such as paid time off
We Urgently Ask For Your Help Ensuring Families Can Meet Their Basic Needs
Consider the livelihood of struggling families who are only paid for the hours they work and depend on the income to support their families. With prolonged closures, this will severely diminished their ability to pay rent, buy food, and/or pay for other basic needs.
The UWGUC COVID19 EMERGENCY FUND is a secure way for individuals, philanthropies and businesses to make a contribution. Click on the MAKE A DONATION TODAY button below to donate through our secure digital portal.
