United Way of Greater Union (UWGUC), on behalf of the Newark EMA HIV Health Services Planning Council (hereafter "the Planning Council"), seeks consultants to support the Planning Council in the development of an Epidemiological Profile, a Full Assessment of the Administrative Mechanism, and the completion of a Needs Assessment Update. About NEMA
The Newark Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA) receives Ryan White Part A funding to ensure a comprehensive system of care for people living with HIV in the five county regions of Essex, Union, Morris, Sussex and Warren. The purpose of Newark EMA is to meet the needs in the communities that are most affected by HIV through educating and promoting its services, particularly given to those who know their HIV status but are not in care. United Way of Greater Union County provides administrative support to the NEMA Planning Council Executive Committee and 5 sub-committees to ensure a system of care for all eligible persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Newark EMA. The Newark HIV Health Services Planning Council services residents in those aforementioned five counties and UWGUC works with the state of New Jersey and the City of Newark to set priorities that inform the allocation of resources, develop a comprehensive plan of action, asses the efficiency of the administration mechanism, develop standards of care and, provide administrative, facilitation and logistical support.
